OK. I have started my first regular medication ever… and I hate it. I have made it through 40 yrs without having to take any thing other than vitamins regularly and now all of a sudden I am on thyroid medication. It is giving me mild headaches. Not so bad I guess. Many women my age are on a handful of pills for everything from hormone imbalances to high blood pressure. At least this will not have any other side effects other than the headaches (I hope. They are mild and easily dealt with). I started them about a week ago, and should start to feel them in about another week. From what I hear, I could go from having no real transition (because I do have thyroid function, just not enough), to being a total basket case for about a week. That would make for an interesting work environment. Oh well. It could be worse. I have noticed a decrease in appetite not necessarily a bad thing. I could stand to lose 20 lbs or so. And it is said that my hair will get thicker (always a good thing). Off to fix the car…
I just add my thyroid pills in with my birth control and vitamins…hardly even notice. Just try to take them at the same time every day. Honestly, if you have pills for something, this is the easliest thing. No side affects! the headaches will go away and you will feel a lot better (after the basket case thing…)
Oh, don’t forget to put the link for this on ur Faacebook and vise-visa!
