Re-Location, Location, Location

Wow! Been a while!
I have moved my blog to a real host now πŸ˜€ Yay me! I got tired of either my internet or private server not behaving properly. And they never behave at the same time.

Special thanks to Lacaille, of Aerandria Scans for hosting for me. Visit Aerandria.net to say thanks and click on a few things :^^:

And now for the updates. As stated in and earlier post, I am no longer working nights. I have been moved to day shift. This happened back in August. It was either days or get layed off. I took days. Nothing like a little financial motivation to make up your mind for you. The work is ok and I really get along well with the other person in the dept. Sooo, all in all not a bad trade.

Boys are fine. We have semi-adopted my oldest son’s best friend AJ. He’s been great so far. Any one who does housework is great as far as i’m concerned and he does lots of it. Very much appreciated too. He is currently job hunting so he can get car insurance and save up for tuition. Plus the 2 younger boys really like having him around.

Husband will be having back surgery on the 22nd of Feb. He’s looking forward to it. Anything has to be better than 10 yrs of chronic pain. >.<
I'm looking forward to having my hubby back at 100%… ok 70%.

Going to AS9100 training the first week of March in Cape Canaveral Fla. Looking forward to spending some chilly evenings on the beach studying. I get to learn how to be an auditor. Lots of people need this service and it will look good on my resume.

That's about all that is going on around here for now. Perhaps I will post more later…

A Presence on the Planet

This week includes 3 birthdays in my family. My oldest son’s, mine, and my youngest son’s. So close to another significant (to some) birthday, this is a very busy month for us. Makes me think about what we are actually celebrating – the anniversary of someone’s presence on the planet and in our lives.
I celebrate my birthday because I am thrilled to be alive. I don’t hide my age, i crow about it. I am 41 today. I spend the day thanking God that I was born, and for the people that I have had the privilege of being around. My sons’ birthdays I spend making them crazy – I like hugs and they don’t.
I celebrate birthdays because I am thankful that the people in my life were born and for the enrichment they give to my life. I’m glad I got to meet you and to know you. Thanks for being on the planet.

Bot Solved

Dinoex, the Software Developer of Iroffer, fixed the problem with my irc bots. Apparently there is a kernel bug that prevent sendfile from working with cifs. Dude stayed up till 6am coding a workaround for it and had it uploaded for use for me to try tonight. Worked like a charm. Head over to his site and check it out, and think about a donation. I mean really, if M$ had support like this, linux wouldn’t stand a chance. Thanks Dinoex, you’re the best πŸ™‚ :^5: :^5: :^5:

-botname- ** Closing Connection: Unable to transfer data (Value too large for defined data type)

I am trying to run the dinoex version of iroffer. I recently upgraded from Debian Etch (where everything worked fine) to Lenny. I also installed the latest stable release of Dinoex. Now I get this error. I can find nothing on this error pertaining to irc. Not even Dinoex knows how to fix it, and I asked him about it in his channel. There were no errors during the ./config, and no errors during make. The drives that the bot hosts are on a Winblows machine and accessed via samba shares. This setup worked fine before all the upgrades. Anyone who has any ideas, please post a comment.
